Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support and maintain both building infrastructure and industrial manufacturing equipment, including lasers, water jets, CNC machines, and other specialized machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the operational integrity and safety of our facilities and production capabilities. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing third‑party vendor relationships for large‑scale facility repairs and specialized equipment servicing.
Key Responsibilities Facilities Maintenance- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire systems, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance work orders and building repair needs promptly
- Maintain clean and safe work spaces in accordance with safety regulations
- Support general facility upkeep including minor construction, carpentry, and painting as required
- Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines such as CNC machines, lasers, and water jets
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and malfunctions; make necessary repairs or upgrade as needed
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment serviced
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repairs and large‑scale facility maintenance
- Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for cost‑effective and timely service
- Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, timelines, and safety procedures
- Track and verify vendor invoices and maintenance‑related purchases
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities and industrial equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of CNC machines, laser cutters, water jets, and other precision manufacturing tools
- Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying conditions
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including vendor coordination
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus
- Combination of office, manufacturing, and maintenance floor environments
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours to support emergency repairs
Salary Offered $25-28 per hour.
