The Mitigation Technician reports to the General Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. Responsibilities- Support Rebuild & Mitigation Project Managers and the General Manager as needed.
- Assist with subcontractor acquisition.
- Communicate project needs to stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections for initial mitigation & rebuild losses, photograph, and document.
- Set up fans and dehumidifiers if initial losses require.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Construction or mitigation experience preferred; on‑job training provided.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to touch‑type and use industry related software.
- Mathematical skills: calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret written or verbal instructions.
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent need to visit project sites with fire, water, or storm damage.
- Carry a minimum of 50 pounds to project sites.
- Required vision abilities: close and distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
- Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places.
- Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, electrical shock, vibration.
- Noise level usually moderate; appropriate safety equipment furnished.
