Buildings and Grounds Manager

Catamount Mountain Resort
Year-Round, Full-Time - Experience Preferred

• Building systems:
  Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
• Carpentry: hands-on carpentry ability for repairs, framing, and general construction work
• Maintenance programs: experience running a preventative maintenance program and conducting building inspections
• Compliance: familiarity with building codes, fire codes, ADA, and OSHA requirements
• Project management: experience managing contractors/vendors and capital improvement or renovation projects

• Landscaping: horticulture and seasonal grounds care (spring cleanup, summer landscaping, fall winterization)
• Winter operations: snow removal and ice management for walkways, parking, and base areas
• Site systems: working knowledge of irrigation, drainage, and erosion control
• Equipment: comfortable operating grounds and snow-removal equipment/machinery

• Supervision: proven experience hiring, training, scheduling, and managing performance
• Budgeting: management of budgets across labor, materials, contracts, and capital projects
• Communication: strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Safety leadership: ability to coordinate emergency response and enforce safety protocols

• Experience:
  
  5+ years in facilities/grounds management or resort operations, ideally in a hospitality or resort setting
• License: valid driver's license required
• Conditions: able to work outdoors year-round in all weather
• Physical demands: capable of lifting 75 lbs and working at heights, in mechanical spaces, and in confined areas
