CompensationHourly base pay rate is $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device (TC-75), including:
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Stock number
- Dealer
- Make, model, year, mileage, color, options
- Affix barcode/stock number stickers to each vehicle upon arrival
- Apply work order numbers and routing labels to vehicles
- Identify and flag “no key” vehicles
- Direct transporters to designated vehicle drop zones
- Inspect and report transport damage as required
- Provide proper sale identification windshield codes
- Remove and clear all
personal information
from vehicles, including documents, saved contacts, and identifiable items - Reset or remove
navigation system data
(addresses, history, Bluetooth pairings, etc.) - Ensure compliance with company policies regarding customer data privacy and security
- Perform
basic fit tunnel maintenance
, including:- Keeping the area clean and organized
- Reporting equipment issues or malfunctions
- Assisting with routine upkeep to ensure operational efficiency
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all safety procedures and guidelines
- Support Safety Excellence initiatives and work with leadership on safety activities
- Assist with additional operational duties as assigned, including:
- Driving vehicles through auction lanes on sale days
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required
- Basic computer skills required.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
- Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- SCHEDULE SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY 12:00 PM-10:00PM
- 1–3 years of auction or vehicle registration experience
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb
To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
