6th Grade Teacher

Intermediate Level Teachers- 6th Grade

Intermediate level teachers are needed for the 6th grade. The qualifications include meeting Illinois license requirements and other qualifications deemed appropriate by the board or superintendent. The teachers will report to the building principal and are responsible for teaching assigned programs and curriculum, implementing the district's philosophy, and encouraging high standards of academic achievement and behavior. They will develop lesson plans, utilize effective instructional materials, and maintain discipline within the classroom.

The teachers will also supervise students during safety drills, evaluate students' academic and social growth, and communicate with parents. They will participate in meetings and activities, plan and supervise activities for teacher aides and volunteers, and establish positive relationships with parents and staff members. The employment term is for the school year and the evaluation will be conducted by the building principal.
