We are hiring a Full-Time Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator for an on-site role in Matteson, IL. This position offers a salary range of $80,000-$90,000 per year and supports safety, environmental compliance, employee training, inspections, incident reporting, and workplace risk prevention. The role is ideal for an EHS professional with experience in safety programs, OSHA compliance, environmental standards, audits, and employee training.

This opportunity is with a growing manufacturer in the battery and electronics sector.

• Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct employee training on workplace safety, emergency response, and hazardous material handling.
• Perform regular workplace safety inspections to identify and correct potential hazards.
• Conduct facility safety inspections and support environmental and waste compliance.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions to help prevent future issues.
• Monitor OSHA and other applicable EHS regulations and communicate updates to management.
• Maintain records of safety training, incidents, audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Generate health and safety assessment reports as needed.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
• OSHA Safety Certificate required.
• Understanding of U.S. safety and environmental laws.
• Strong knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct employee training and prepare clear reports.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying hazards and reviewing compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Preferred:
  Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional, EHS, ISO, or similar credentials.
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with Korean business culture.
• Preferred:
  Ability to communicate in Korean is preferred but not required.

This is an on-site role in a manufacturing environment within the battery and electronics sector.
