The District is looking for responsible and motivated 16-17-year-old individuals to join our custodial team for the summer! As a temporary custodial summer help employee, you will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities during the summer months. This is a great opportunity to gain work experience, develop a strong work ethic, and contribute to a clean and welcoming environment.

The position will run from June 9, 2025, to August 1, 2025, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The District is seeking to hire six employees to fill this position.

• Maintenance of grounds, including general landscaping and grounds care.
• Moving furniture and equipment at various sites in preparation for life safety projects.
• Paint classrooms or office areas.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in hallways, classrooms, and other common areas.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, restock supplies as needed.
• Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including windowsills, desks, and furniture.
• Assist with outdoor cleanup, including picking up litter and maintaining grounds.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitized according to established standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

• Must be 16-17 years of age.
• Hold a valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Available to work Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Must be available to work from June 9, 2025, to August 1, 2025.
• Constant moderate physical effort is required, including walking, reaching, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, pushing, and moving furniture and other equipment.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds.
