Janitorial – 1st Shift
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor to help maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within a large warehouse facility located in Mattoon, IL. This role is essential to supporting daily operations by ensuring warehouse areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces remain clean and well‑maintained. This is a 1st shift position Mon‑Fri, 6:30am‑3:00pm that pays $17/hr the ideal candidate is reliable, safety‑conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities- Clean and maintain production floors, offices, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Respond to spills and cleanup needs in a timely manner
- Assist with basic facility upkeep and special cleaning projects
