Regional Safe School Teacher - Physical Education & Health

Duties

* Provide clear and intentional focus on subject matter content and culturally responsive curriculum.

* Foster and manage a safe, positive, strength-based learning environment.

* Use multiple student data elements to modify instruction and improve student learning.

* Communicate and collaborate in a strength-based manner with colleagues, parents and the school community.

* Exhibit collaborative and collegial strength-based practice focused on improving instructional practice, student learning, and creating restorative climates.

* Provide instruction of social and emotional skills.

Qualifications

Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in comprehensive education in a supportive and positive climate that develops each student's skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards. Salary/Benefits

Starting Salary: $50,000.00 annually

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree - Valid Illinois Professional Educator's License in appropriate field.

Job Goal:
Delivering instruction in an environment favorable to learning and personal growth of students enrolled in an alternative education setting; establishing effective rapport with students; motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for becoming a healthy, happy, responsible citizen.
