Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON), the Senior Enrollment Specialist serves as an integral member of the enrollment and student affairs team responsible for recruiting, engaging, and supporting prospective Master of Nursing (MN) students throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
This position plays a key role in advancing the strategic enrollment goals of the School by cultivating prospective student relationships, guiding applicants through the admissions process, supporting recruitment initiatives, and facilitating the successful transition of admitted students into the program. The Senior Enrollment Specialist collaborates closely with academic leadership, faculty, advisors, Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM), and other university partners to ensure a seamless and student-centered enrollment experience.
The Senior Enrollment Specialist also contributes to the development and implementation of recruitment, communication, and enrollment management strategies that support application, admission, yield, and enrollment goals for the MN program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Guides and supports prospective students throughout the application and enrollment process. Advises prospective students, manages incomplete applications, and coordinates with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Assistant Dean of Pre-Licensure Programs, MN Program Director, advisors, faculty, staff, and relevant university offices to support students' transition toward enrollment.
- Reviews application files, evaluates prerequisite coursework, screens candidates for appropriateness, and guides eligible candidates through the admissions process. Proactively communicates with prospective students and applicants to encourage application completion and enrollment.
- Identifies trends within the applicant pool and provides feedback to support recruitment, conversion, and matriculation strategies.
- Assists with the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of recruitment and communication plans designed to enroll a qualified and diverse incoming student cohort.
- Participates in recruitment activities, including representing Loyola University Chicago and MNSON at recruitment events, information sessions, open houses, conferences, meetings, and individual advising appointments.
- Assists in developing and maintaining recruitment and communication materials, including outreach messaging, prospect communication workflows, websites, and related enrollment resources.
- Advises prospective students and applicants regarding program options, admissions requirements, application timelines, and enrollment processes.
- Assists with onboarding and orientation activities for admitted students to support student engagement, retention, and belonging.
- Collaborates with the University Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) regarding recruitment and admissions processes, including ensuring admitted students receive timely registration and onboarding information.
- Utilizes university admissions systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to maintain records, generate enrollment reports, monitor applicant data, and support enrollment planning.
- Provides technical and operational support to program leadership, faculty, and staff related to enrollment systems and processes.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of enrollment management strategies that support established application, admission, yield, and enrollment goals for the MN program.
- Works collaboratively across the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and with university partners to support enrollment and student success initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, student advising, or a related area.
