Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position. We are especially interested in faculty engaged in teaching and scholarship focused on medical-surgical nursing. This is a 9-month non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant's education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.
Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will:
- Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs; these positions will have primary responsibilities in the pre-licensure nursing programs.
- Employ a variety of teaching/learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation.
- Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education.
- Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the MNSON, University, and nursing profession.
- Contribute to the MNSON and University goals for inclusive excellence.
Qualifications:
- Teaching experience, either through prior teaching appointments or teaching experience gained during graduate study.
- Clinical experience as a registered professional nurse.
- Potential to establish and maintain a program of scholarship, consistent with the expectations of rank.
Minimum Education and/or
Work Experience:
- A doctoral degree in nursing or a doctoral degree in a related field with a master's degree in nursing.
- Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois.
Salary Range: $80,000-$124,000
This salary range is for a 9-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
