LBS1 Instructor Opportunity

We're seeking a passionate LBS1 Instructor for the remainder of the academic year to provide focused support in a resource classroom environment. This full-time role is designed for an educator who believes in personalized instruction and helping students unlock their academic potential. In this position, you'll deliver tailored interventions and accommodations guided by IEP goals while partnering with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.

Job Highlights:

• Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in core academic areas to support IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-wide initiatives that enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum materials and modify instruction for diverse learners.
• Monitor and document student progress, completing IEP updates, data tracking, and progress reports accurately and on time.
• Foster a structured, encouraging, and positive learning environment that promotes student independence and engagement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
• Experience working with grade school students and supporting mild to moderate learning needs is preferred.
