Special Education Teacher in Maywood, IL

We're looking for dedicated Special Education Teachers (nine positions available) to support K-12 learners in specialized programs for the upcoming school year. • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS 1 endorsement.
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of instructional approaches and adaptive techniques.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including assistants and paraprofessionals.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction for students across all PAEC K-12 programs, adapting curriculum as needed.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required.
• Manage classroom routines and work with para educators or support staff.
• Engage in consistent, compassionate communication with families and support teams.
• Uphold district policies, including completion of required fingerprinting and onboarding procedures.
