Step into an impactful educational environment supporting students across a variety of programs. We're looking for dedicated Special Education Teachers (nine positions available) to support K-12 learners in specialized programs for the upcoming school year. This contract role offers a chance to collaborate with a committed team and make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs.
Qualifications &Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS 1 endorsement.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education preferred.
- Familiarity with a variety of instructional approaches and adaptive techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including assistants and paraprofessionals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction for students across all PAEC K-12 programs, adapting curriculum as needed.
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required.
- Manage classroom routines and work with para educators or support staff.
- Engage in consistent, compassionate communication with families and support teams.
- Uphold district policies, including completion of required fingerprinting and onboarding procedures.
