Loyola University Medical Center is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to provide onsite, handson operational support for our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is heavily focused on runandmaintain responsibilities, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of a mission critical healthcare network. This is a production environment where decisions matter. We need someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex problems under pressure, and serve as an escalation point for the team.
Ideal candidates are well past the "early career" phase and confident operating in large, enterprise class networks.
Core Network Operations
- Provide daytoday support for enterprise Cisco switching and routing (campus & WAN)
- Handle advanced network troubleshooting and rootcause analysis
- Support high availability, fault tolerant network designs within a healthcare environment
- Manage WAN circuits, ISP connectivity, and carrier coordination
- Execute production safe network changes in accordance with change management standards
- Administer and support Blue Cat DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Manage IP space, subnet planning, lifecycle control, and record maintenance
- Troubleshoot DNS/DHCP issues affecting both clinical and enterprise level systems
- Support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and enterprise Wi Fi
- Perform AP provisioning, firmware updates, and RF/environmental optimization
- Configure SSIDs for clinical, corporate, and guest access
- Troubleshoot performance issues and validate wireless coverage in patient care areas
- Provide operational support for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) v15
- Troubleshoot call routing, endpoint registration, and voice quality issues
- Support wireless voice devices and coordinate with carriers/vendors as needed
- Manage alerts and performance data via Solar Winds
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, and runbooks
- Collaborate with vendors and provide escalation support as required
- Expert level experience with Cisco routers/switches, enterprise networking, and LAN/WAN environments
- Advanced troubleshooting and rootcause analysis capabilities
- Handson experience with Blue Cat DDI
- Strong experience with Cisco WLC and enterprise Wi Fi
- CUCM administration experience (v15 preferred)
- Familiarity with Solar Winds and network monitoring best practices
- Proven ability to work independently in a high pressure, production environment
- Strong professionalism and ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Experience working in healthcare or other mission critical enterprise environments is a plus
- Technically seasoned engineers who are comfortable making decisions in real time

This is a Contract position based out of Maywood, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
