Director of Buildings and Grounds
- Receive, inspect, and maintain all athletic equipment, supplies and fields.
- Organize, store, and track inventory using appropriate inventory management systems.
- Distribute equipment to athletes and coaches as needed, ensuring proper fit and condition.
- Repair, clean, and maintain athletic equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
- Assist coaches in preparing equipment for practices, games, and special events.
- Manage the return of equipment at the end of seasons and reconcile inventory records.
- Coordinate with vendors to order new equipment and ensure timely deliveries.
- Train student managers or volunteers on proper equipment handling and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and school policies regarding equipment.
- Line and maintain athletic fields for football, soccer, baseball, and other sports, ensuring proper markings and safety.
- Operate field marking equipment and maintain necessary supplies for field upkeep.
- Collaborate with coaches and athletic staff to schedule and prepare fields for practices and competitions.

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.*
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in athletic equipment or field maintenance preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards for athletic equipment and field preparation.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle sports equipment safely.
- Experience with field lining equipment and field maintenance techniques.
- Effective communication skills with coaches, athletes, and staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.

- Fast-paced, active environment in gymnasiums, locker rooms, athletic fields, and stadiums.
- Frequent lifting and handling of equipment of various sizes and weights.
- Outdoor work for field maintenance, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Regular interaction with coaches, athletes, and school staff.
- Salary Range:
As set forth in the current agreement between the Board of Education of Proviso Township High Schools District 209, Cook County, Illinois, and Proviso Custodial and Maintenance Union SEIU Local 73, CTW, 2025–2030. - Benefits:
