Job Description

The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting products, packaging and raw materials to warehouse locations and trailers, organizing packaging and return areas, and loading or unloading trailers. The role requires on-site attendance, flexibility for production schedules, and active participation in cross-functional initiatives.
Ways you will make a difference- Completes daily checklist form, replenishes fluids, and generates maintenance work request forms for repairs needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Picks and stages packaging and supplies at work sites.
- Receives materials from production, verifies and identifies information and quantity of materials, and places them in inventory.
- Loads and unloads trailers.
- Verifies case/pallet counts and patterns, reporting any discrepancies to floor/department supervisor.
- Conducts assigned work safely and adheres to all safety methods.
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assists in inventory reconciliation process.
- Maintains a clean and neat work area at all times.
- Maintains inventory control system by tracking, moving, and shipping the product using SAP system and/or Excel spreadsheet.
Skills that will make you successful:
- Skill in operating a Reach and Standup Forklift and hand jack.
- Ability to speak, write, and read English.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Can safely lift up to 60 pounds.
- Promotes teamwork, possesses a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed.
Experiences that will support your success:
- Minimum of one year of warehouse experience including proven skills in safe operation of a Reach Truck, Standup Forklift, and Electric Pallet Jack.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
