Registered Nurse - RN - Cardiovascular Transplant

Full time. Shift: Rotating 12‑hour shift.

The 5 Tower (Cardiac Surgery & Step‑Down Unit) is a 32‑bed inpatient, private room unit specializing in care for post‑op cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, lung transplants, heart transplants, and advanced heart failure (LVADs). This unit also includes a 6‑bed transitional unit for higher acuity patients requiring specialized care.

The nurses on this unit will learn and perform several skills, including but not limited to cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and external pacers. They will provide advanced nursing care to patients recovering from major cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

• A diploma from an accredited nursing school or college is required. BSN or ADN is preferred.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association accredited) required prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license required prior to hire.

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
