About the RoleMaywood Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide hands‑on care and support to residents while promoting their dignity, comfort, independence, and overall well‑being. Working closely with the nursing team, you will help deliver high‑quality, person‑centered care in a supportive and rewarding environment.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, resident‑focused, and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors.
QualificationsRequired:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Illinois
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
Preferred:
- Experience in long‑term care, supportive living, assisted living, or healthcare settings
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
- Assist residents during mealtimes and provide feeding assistance when necessary
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents
- Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or concerns to the nursing team
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Assist with changing bed linens, restocking supplies, and other resident care tasks as needed
- Follow all community policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate care and documentation
- Compassion, patience, and empathy in supporting residents and their families
- Dependability, professionalism, and teamwork in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and quality of life
