Position: Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic with Security Clearance
Duties
* Maintain a wide range of electronic control systems by performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration.
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to isolate malfunctions within integrated electronic systems.
* Evaluate electronic system performance by applying theories of circuits, wave forms, and propagation to interpret and analyze test data.
* Operate advanced test equipment to identify, isolate, and diagnose system malfunctions.
* Interpret system data to determine the best methods for correcting errors. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
* This position is a Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
* This position requires an Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AAE) Security Certification/Screening in accordance AR 190-11.
* This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Qualifications Who May Apply:

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common testing and repair of missile systems and components and utilize schematics, drawings, electronic theories and principles, operate computer controlled automatic test equipment, and utilize a variety of test equipment. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

* Physical Effort:
Light to moderate physical exertion is required in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasional objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds. Mechanics are required to stoop, bend and stand for extended periods of time on concrete or composition floors.

* Working Conditions:

Work is predominantly performed inside a well lighted, heated and ventilated shop environment. Subject to injuries such as cuts and bruises, as well as burns caused by electrical shock. Duties are performed while exposed to unusually hazardous agents for 35-75% of total work cycle. Hazardous exposure is not considered in the evaluation of job, since environmental pay is provided to compensate for hazardous elements.
