School Maintenance Worker (3‑8 Campus)Reports To:
Director of Operations
- 8 Hours per day (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- 260 days
- Medical and Dental Insurance

- 30‑day probationary period
- Starting at $18.68 per hour
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and repairs
- Availability for emergency calls
- Respect confidentiality
- Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations
- References must be provided
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends included
- Inspect school buildings and grounds on a regular basis and make repairs as needed
- Inspect maintenance equipment and vehicles on a regular basis and make repairs as needed
- Coordinate and prioritize building repair and maintenance activities
- Carry out a preventative maintenance program for facilities, grounds and equipment as directed
- Inspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure a high quality of work performed to specifications
- Regularly inspect and repair inside/outside equipment as needed to ensure a safe environment
- Regularly inspect school safety equipment to ensure good working order (fire extinguishers, emergency lights)
- Mow and trim around buildings and grounds as scheduled
- Review work orders daily and complete them in a timely manner
- Make recommendations and repairs to ensure compliance with laws
- Assist in snow removal and salting of driveways, parking areas and walks to maintain a safe environment
- Communicate with principals and building staff about maintenance projects
- Keep work environment clean, orderly and safe
- Perform all work in a first‑class, workmanlike manner
- Assist the Director of Operations with building audits
- Perform all additional tasks as directed by the Director of Operations
- Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community
- Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
