Facilities Associate
Sparks Group has partnered with a leading technology organization to identify a Facilities Associate to support the daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of corporate facilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for a dependable and resourceful individual who enjoys solving problems, working with building systems, and supporting a variety of facilities-related projects. The position offers strong growth potential and the opportunity to develop advanced technical and facilities management skills over time.
Responsibilities- Support day-to-day facilities operations to ensure office spaces remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Perform routine inspections and assist with preventative maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs related to office equipment, furniture, fixtures, and building systems.
- Assist with low-voltage installations and maintenance activities, including cabling, wiring, access control devices, thermostats, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility-related projects.
- Support office moves, workstation setups, and equipment relocations as needed.
- Maintain inventory of facilities supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with maintaining building safety and security systems and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Track and document maintenance requests, completed work, and vendor activity.
- Respond to facilities-related requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support special projects and additional operational needs as assigned.
- Experience supporting facilities operations in a corporate office setting.
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, cabling, wiring, access control, security devices, or related technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or property management experience, preferably within a corporate office environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work.
- Experience using hand tools and performing basic maintenance or repair tasks.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, resourceful, and willing to take ownership of projects and tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including walking, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
