Part-Time Recreation Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity

An employee in this class performs manual work involving the maintenance of City parks, playgrounds, community centers, and lakes. Work is performed under the supervision of a park's maintenance supervisor and is evaluated on the completion of performance objectives, cleanliness, and proper operation of park facilities, public feedback, and visual inspection of completed work.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Some work experience in grounds and facilities maintenance preferred. Possession or ability to maintain valid a North Carolina Driver's license.

Part Time employees are not eligible for full time benefits such as no cost medical, dental, vision, life, or short term disability nor do they receive paid leave, holiday pay, or employer retirement contributions. However, part time employees may still invest in their future by choosing to participate in the NC 401(k) plan through voluntary employee contributions.
