This position reports to:
Maintenance Supervisor
The work model for the role is:
Onsite, Mebane, NC
Your role and responsibilities:
- Develops and implements equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing reliability and cost.
- Coordinates with the team to solve major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
- Carries out maintenance tasks as required.
- Defines maintenance plans for new production lines and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance, and safety of equipment, in collaboration with the Engineering department.
- Coordinates planned and scheduled maintenance of factory equipment.
- Develops and proposes improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
- Proposes and manages the annual maintenance budget.
- Monitors the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determines actions to cost issues as necessary.
Qualifications for the role:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a large-scale electrical or industrial manufacturing operation.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support maintenance personnel, including assisting maintenance employees with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment restoration.
- Advanced technical and engineering skills related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- Proficient in the use of maintenance tools and measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, grinders, and other hand and power tools. Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs as required.
- Effective leadership, communication, and team development capabilities.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and process optimization initiatives is preferred.
