DescriptionWe are looking for a Lead Housekeeper to join our team!
This is more than a housekeeping position—it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults by helping maintain the spaces where they live, gather, and thrive.
The Lead Housekeeper will be responsible for supporting daily housekeeping operations throughout the Messiah Lifeways community and serve as a working lead by providing direction, training, follow-up, and support to housekeeping team members while promoting high standards of cleanliness, resident service, safety, and teamwork.

What You'll Do
- Clean and maintain resident rooms, offices, lounges, and common areas
- Assist with daily assignment coordination to ensure routine cleaning, priority needs, call-offs, resident requests, and special projects are completed efficiently.
- Help coordinate coverage for call-offs, scheduled absences, and changing daily priorities as directed by management.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guidance to new and existing housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, resident service expectations, equipment use, safety practices, and department standards.
- Follow proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Report maintenance concerns and equipment issues promptly
- Practice safe work habits, including proper use of chemicals and safety equipment
- Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and organizational information
- Complete assigned tasks with quality, efficiency, and attention to detail

Qualifications- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years in housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, healthcare, long-term care, or senior living experience.
- Previous lead, trainer, mentor, or informal supervisory experience preferred.
