JOB OVERVIEW

What does it mean to be a part of our Maintenance team?

In this role, you are responsible for all repairs and ongoing maintenance of the facility to include all equipment and company vehicles that our associates operate daily as well as maintaining the grounds and parking lot areas. You will maintain and order supplies/parts as needed while also providing recommendations to repair and replace equipment to ensure proper functioning. You will conduct regular facility inspections and assist in developing a preventative maintenance schedule.

In this team, you work directly with all departments within the facility on any maintenance needs that may arise.

We have two areas of focus within our maintenance teams, which are building and equipment maintenance. The building maintenance team is responsible for repairing and ongoing maintenance of the facility. You will conduct regular facility inspections and assist in developing a preventative maintenance schedule. Our equipment maintenance team repairs and maintains all equipment that our associates operate daily. You will maintain and order supplies/parts while providing recommendations to repair and replace equipment.

Schedule:

M-F (6:30am – 3:00pm) $32.00/hr

PURPOSE

Responsible for the diagnostics, prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of more complex material handling equipment issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Responsibilities Percentage

Provides diagnostics and recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment. 15%

Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule 10%

Ensure an adequate inventory of necessary spare parts and materials is maintained. 10%

Keep management informed of areas activities and of significant concerns. Report major concerns or significant problems. 10%

Provides leadership, guidance, and training to other Equipment Maintenance Mechanics. 10%

Manages installation of RF unit and scan guns 10%

Assist in developing a preventive maintenance schedule 10%

Handles more complex diagnostics and repairs including but not limited to the following: electrical systems, hydraulic and brake systems. 15%

Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location 10%

Total 100%

Performs other relevant job duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

  • Certified Material Handling Engineer Mechanic
  • ASE Certification

Experience:

  • 5+ years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
  • Machining and fabrication experience

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Oral and written communication skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. It is also required for writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Clearly communicate with other employees and build relationships with employees, supervisors/managers, customers, as well as outside contractors
  • Ability to work well independently
