Duties and Responsibilities

A. Responsible for the daily grounds and janitorial functions at the assigned properties.

B. Ensures that the physical condition of the property satisfies ownership and management objectives.

A. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor of the assigned property.

B. Assists Maintenance Technicians and Site Management Staff with various assigned duties.

• Responsible for general upkeep of the buildings and grounds of the property with curb appeal and resident satisfaction as top priority.
• Perform janitorial work as required to maintain the cleanliness of the common areas of the property.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians in the "turnover" of vacant apartments in an expeditious manner to avoid the loss of any rental income.
• Responsible for the care and use of the property's maintenance supplies, performing a monthly inventory and making recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor for the purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Operate power equipment as required for yard maintenance work and cleaning of the interior & exterior of buildings.

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or working toward completion.
• Must be able to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects. Should be skilled at property maintenance tasks including but not limited to:

An individual working in this role must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing & walking; is routinely required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, bend, and use various machines and tools. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Specific vision abilities are required for parts of the job to include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional exposure to loud noises from machinery & equipment. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

$15-$21 per hour
