Assistant Director of Maintenance

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff? We are looking for a dependable Assistant Director of Maintenance to support the daily operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
What You'll Do as Assistant Director of Maintenance:- Assist the Director of Maintenance with the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations.
- Maintain facility equipment, resident rooms, common areas, and exterior grounds.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance logs and preventative maintenance records.
- Assist with vendor coordination and oversee contracted maintenance services as needed.
- Participate in the facility's emergency preparedness program, including on-call responsibilities when required.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
- Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and complete repairs efficiently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
