Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Programmed Energy & Resources are currently seeking a Mechanical Planner for our client who manufacture and distribute pigments and various raw materials, at their refinery plant located in Kwinana!
This opportunity involves working on a dayshift 9-day fortnight roster, working 9 hour shifts and offers a competitive flat rate of $85-$90 per hour (flat rate) based on experience.
Successful applicants will have previous fixed plant, refinery, or mining operations experience, strong planning capabilities, and a proven commitment to safety and operational excellence.
About the role:
- Location: Kwinana (DIDO, local opportunity)
- Shift: 9 day fortnight | Day shift | 9 hour shifts
- Rate: $85-$90 per hour (flat rate) based on experience
- Casual contract with expected 15 month+ duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and schedule maintenance plans for routine and preventative maintenance activities
- Coordinate shutdown planning and maintenance execution
- Manage asset maintenance strategies and work orders
- Ensure compliance with site safety and maintenance standards
- Liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver planned maintenance outcomes
Skills and Experience:
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
- 3+ years proven experience as a Mechanical Planner within refinery, fixed plant, or mining environments
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and CMMS systems
- White Card
- Working at Heights & Confined Space Tickets - within 3 years
- Current & Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and drug & alcohol screen
- Ability to complete online inductions
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
