Maintenance Assistant
Full-Time 40 hour a week position, weekends and on-call hours
As a Building & Grounds Repair Assistant, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across the building, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility upkeep.
- Perform Panting.
- Electrical work.
- Plumbing.
- Pool Maintenance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize future issues.
- Respond promptly to work orders and resident/staff requests.
- Assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance (e.g., clearing walkways).
- Support building security by locking/unlocking entrances and monitoring entry points.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.
What We're Looking For – Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building maintenance, general repair, or a similar field
- Hands-on knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout your shift
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Must have your own basic hand tools
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or residential maintenance settings
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
