Melbourne, Florida – Full Time | Onsite
Our building materials client, a well established producer with a strong operational footprint across ready mix and heavy industrial environments, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Melbourne, Florida.
This role is responsible for leading shift maintenance activity across ready mix heavy equipment, trucks, and plant equipment. The right person will bring strong maintenance leadership, sound planning ability, and a hands on approach to driving safety, uptime, and execution.
This is a strong fit for someone who knows how to lead technicians, manage maintenance priorities, improve preventive maintenance execution, and keep equipment available in a fast paced operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily maintenance operations across fleet and plant equipment
- Supervise maintenance personnel and assign work based on operational priorities
- Oversee preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
- Ensure work orders are opened, tracked, and closed accurately in the CMMS
- Coordinate labor, parts, and outside services needed for scheduled maintenance work
- Support equipment availability and overall maintenance efficiency
- Train new employees and help develop existing team members
- Lead departmental safety efforts and reinforce safe work practices
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and required documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, execution, and cost control
- Adjust work plans as needed based on production and maintenance demands
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 plus years of supervisory experience
- Maintenance leadership background in a heavy industrial, fleet, or plant environment
- Knowledge of ready mix operations preferred
- Experience supporting heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial plant equipment
- Inventory and parts coordination experience
- Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- English fluency required
- Spanish is a plus
Base salary is in the $90,000 and up range, depending on experience and overall fit.
$95,000 per year
