$2,022.03 to $2,224.23 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled professional work assessing the construction, maintenance, operation, and systems inter-relationship of County facilities, including the functionality of the offices housed within County facilities. Work is performed independently.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of professional experience relating to facilities operations and management or commercial and/or industrial building components, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and subcomponents and supporting systems. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Experience performing construction cost estimating and utilizing facility condition assessment Sustaining Management System (SMS) software is preferred.

Special Requirements

Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check administered by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man‑made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
