Utility Construction Inspector

Overview

Boulder County Housing Department has an opening for a Maintenance Worker I to perform a variety of unskilled and semi‑skilled duties in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facilities.

• Assist with routine repairs and maintenance, including minor remodeling projects and carpentry work.
• Shovel snow, relamp lamps, change filters, and keep premises in orderly condition.
• Perform routine maintenance and appropriate custodial work.
• Install energy conservation materials such as caulk, weather‑stripping, storm windows, and doors.
• Maintain accurate work records and material receipts.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Perform on‑call emergency service approximately every third week, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of building maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical and a criminal background check.

Starting salary range: $2,538–$2,773 per month (starting 2009).
