• Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility for certification)
• Previous classroom experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students preferred
• Strong understanding of assistive technology and differentiated instructional strategies for varied hearing needs
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and able to travel between school sites within the district as needed

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Provide direct instruction and support in both academic and communication skills
• Consult with general education teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environment
• Advocate for students access to programs, activities, and school-wide resources
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and district specialists to promote success
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Stay current with best practices and instructional materials for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
