Join Sun Chemical's Group Engineering team and help drive process safety, risk reduction, and operational excellence across our North American manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including PHAs, risk assessments, PSSRs, and hazard reviews.
- Identify and implement safety, reliability, and process improvement solutions.
- Manage safety-related capital projects from concept through startup.
- Conduct HAZOPs, support Management of Change (MOC), and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Operations, EHS, Maintenance, Procurement, and external partners.
- Support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in process or project engineering within the chemical industry
- Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
- Knowledge of NFPA, API RP 520/521, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and project management tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred: ATEX, SAP, ICC, fire protection, and PFAS experience
- Capital project management experience in manufacturing environments
