Logistics Specialist Forwarding Operations: Air Freight & Expedited Services

CDN Logistics Inc is hiring a Logistics Specialist for Forwarding Operations in Air Freight & Expedited Services. In this role, you will coordinate time-critical domestic and cross-border shipments, arrange air and ground carrier bookings, and monitor freight from pickup through delivery. You will manage documentation, track and trace shipments, and proactively communicate status updates to customers and internal teams. The specialist will resolve delays, optimize routing for cost and service, and ensure compliance with carrier, customs, and safety requirements while supporting continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air freight and expedited shipments from pickup to delivery
• Book and schedule carriers for time-critical domestic and cross-border moves
• Prepare and manage shipping and forwarding documentation
• Track and trace shipments, proactively resolving delays and exceptions
• Communicate shipment status and solutions to customers and internal teams
• Optimize routing and mode selection for cost, transit time, and service
• Ensure compliance with carrier, customs, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service on key accounts
• Maintain accurate data in transportation management systems
• Support continuous improvement of forwarding and expedited processes
