POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Safety Program Manager plays a key role in advancing the organization’s safety culture and risk management strategy across multiple trades and districts. This is a corporate governance and program development role, not a site-based safety position.

As part of the Corporate Risk & Safety team, this individual designs, implements, and standardizes enterprise-wide safety programs, policies, and training initiatives. Using data analysis, incident trends, and root-cause insights, they ensure consistent compliance, communication, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate brings both field credibility and corporate acumen — combining hands-on construction experience with experience in a district or regional safety management capacity where they have led program development, training, and policy implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate Safety Governance & Program Design
  • Develop, update, and govern corporate-level safety policies, procedures, and compliance programs aligned with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Evaluate incident trends, leading and lagging indicators, and audit data to identify systemic risks and prioritize prevention strategies.
  • Standardize best practices across districts to ensure consistent implementation and accountability.
  • Partner with leadership to align safety programs with operational goals and strategic direction.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Communication
  • Conduct detailed root-cause analyses following incidents or near-misses and prepare actionable summaries for leadership.
  • Translate complex data into clear, visual dashboards and reports.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and written communications outlining performance, trends, and initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver corporate safety training modules, campaigns, and communication materials to reinforce a proactive safety culture.
  • Collaborate closely with District Safety Officers to provide guidance and ensure consistent application of standards.
  • Assist leadership in coaching, mentoring, and building capability within district safety teams.
Compliance Oversight & Continuous Improvement
  • Manage corporate safety audit programs and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively.
  • Serve as a liaison with insurance representatives, regulatory agencies, and third-party auditors.
  • Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory changes, industry trends, and technologies to strengthen safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS Experience & Education
  • 3+ years in a safety management role within a large, self-performing construction environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to design and manage enterprise-wide safety programs and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence through credibility and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Certifications
  • Preferred: GSP, ASP, CHST, STSC, CSP.
