Production Technician

Job Description

Pay Range: $20.75/hr - $25.75/hr

• The Production Technician I is responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting advanced manufacturing equipment in a regulated production environment.
• This role supports aseptic manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Operate advanced HMI applications.
• Perform basic machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting of state-of-the-art equipment including Vial Washer, Depyrogenation Tunnel, Filling Machine, Isolator, Stopper Loading Systems, Capping Machine, Glove Tester, Automatic Loading and Unloading System (ALUS), Lyophilizers, Parts Washers, Component Sterilizers, Stopper Cans, Filter Integrity Tester, and Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide Transfer Hatch.
• Load Parts Washer, Component Sterilizer, Vial Washer, Filling Machine, and Capping Machine with raw materials and format parts.
• Practice and understand aseptic manufacturing principles.
• Maintain gown qualification as required by the assigned area.
• Perform microbiological monitoring within the Filling Machine, ALUS, and Capping Machine.
• Assist departments including MQA, Maintenance, Metrology, Engineering, Validation, Tech Transfer, and Microbiology with equipment-related tasks.

• Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas according to SOPs.
• Transfer raw materials, operating supplies, and finished products in and out of manufacturing areas.
• Multi-task and learn multiple manufacturing areas as required.
• Train on and comply with current SOPs and GMPs.
• Document work accurately and in a timely manner.
• Understand process flow and step-by-step manufacturing requirements.
• Work efficiently while maintaining adherence to applicable SOPs.
• Communicate concisely with co-workers and managers to promote teamwork.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company policies related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds using proper bending and lifting techniques.
• Ability to move heavy equipment and components as needed.
• Ability to work with hazardous materials including antineoplastic products and raw materials that may cause serious illness or injury.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including eye protection, safety shoes, gown, and gloves.

• Experience in Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing industries.
• Experience using aseptic techniques.
• Basic or advanced mathematical skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including hands-on troubleshooting and equipment adjustments.
