Quality Technician
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Job Type: Contract to hire or direct hire
Pay Range: $20-24 per hour
Hours: 8am-4:30pm and Saturdays
- 1-3 years experience in the following:
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM
- Knowledge of SPC, Root cause analysis (5 whys, Fishbone Diagram)
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO
9001) - Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections
- Use measuring tools
- Verify product meets drawings, specifications and tolerance
- Conduct visual and functional testing
- Record inspection results accurately
- Monitor SPC charts
- Track defect trends and report recurring issues
- Maintain quality logs and databases
