Position Description

Overview:

We are currently hiring a CDL Class A Drivers for our pick-up and delivery (P&D) operations in the Los Angeles area. The P&D CDL Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations within a 150 mile radius from our Santa Fe Springs, CA terminal. The ideal candidate should have a valid CDL Class A license, a clean driving record, Hazmat endorsements and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Safely operate a commercial truck (CDL Class

A) to pick up and deliver goods within the designated area.

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.

* Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

* Verify delivery information, including addresses, contact details, and quantities, to ensure accuracy.

* Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

* Obtain signatures, or proof of delivery as required.

* Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, expenses, and vehicle maintenance.

* Report any accidents, incidents, or delays to the supervisor or dispatcher promptly.

* Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, providing updates on delivery status and any changes in schedule or routing.

* Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking fluids, tire pressure, and lights.

* Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety.

* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to compliance and security.

* Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and efficient loading and unloading of goods.

* Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior

Qualifications:

* Minimum High School Diploma/GED required

* Minimum 23 years of age

* Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement Preferred (or will acquire within 6 months)

* Minimum of 2 years of Tractor / Trailer experience

* Knowledge of the greater Los Angeles market

* Clean MVR
