Driver Helper

Essential Functions

• Accurately load the daily route onto the truck
• Scan daily route onto the truck
• Assist driver with navigating to deliveries
• Assist driver with carrying freight to a business or residence destination
• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other similar duties
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast‑paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Possess good customer service skills
• Work overtime as needed
• Read and comprehend work instructions well
• Work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Work well with others with little supervision
• Lifting 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Speak, read, and write in English

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods. Employees must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above their heads. The position requires regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing of various shipping documents. Employees must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and use pallet jacks and forklifts.
