Dockworker 2nd Shift

CDN Logistics Inc is seeking a reliable Dockworker for 2nd shift at our Carol Stream, IL terminal. In this physically active role, you will load, unload, and stage truckload and LTL freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, verify counts and condition, and ensure freight is properly labeled and secured. You'll follow strict safety procedures, maintain a clean, organized dock, and support on-time departures.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or freight experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Verify freight counts, condition, labels, and paperwork against bills of lading
• Stage, sort, and stack freight safely to prevent damage and support efficient loading
• Follow all dock, equipment, and OSHA safety procedures and report hazards or damage
• Maintain a clean, organized dock and properly store pallets, dunnage, and equipment
• Assist with checking seals, documenting discrepancies, and supporting on-time departures
• Communicate with supervisors and drivers to prioritize loads and resolve dock issues
• Operate RF scanners or basic computer systems to update freight status and locations
• Support team members during peak volumes to meet service and schedule commitments
• Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts to enhance dock operations
