The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our apartment homes and community areas. You'll ensure vacant units are move-in ready, keep common areas pristine, and support the maintenance and property management teams with pride and professionalism.

• Clean and sanitize all fixtures, appliances, cabinets, windows, bathrooms, and flooring in vacant apartments.
• Steam clean carpets and wash/mop vinyl or tile floors.
• Report any maintenance or mechanical issues found during cleaning to the Service Manager.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks and upkeep of community buildings.
• Maintain grounds, including trash removal and outdoor cleanliness.
• Perform snow removal and other seasonal exterior duties as needed.
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Community Director or Service Manager.

• 1+ years of experience in cleaning, custodial, or property maintenance roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

• Ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time, totaling approximately 6-7 hours per workday, while performing cleaning tasks throughout the property.
• Ability to walk frequently for up to 1 hour at a time, totaling approximately 3-4 hours per workday, including movement between buildings and frequent stair use.
• Ability to sit occasionally for up to 30 minutes at a time, totaling no more than 1 hour per workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds continuously, up to 35 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally when handling cleaning supplies, equipment, trash, and furniture.
• Ability to frequently push and pull cleaning equipment and carts.
• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, and crouch, with frequent reaching and occasional overhead reaching to complete cleaning tasks.
• Ability to frequently use hands and arms for power grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation to safely operate vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning tools.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and tolerate varying temperatures, weather conditions, and exposure to cleaning chemicals throughout the workday.
• Minimal travel is required, limited to onboarding and occasional training at the corporate office in Bloomfield Hills or training sites within the Metro Detroit area (e.g., Warren, Troy).
