Overview
Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff in Memphis, TN
. The ideal candidate will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility projects to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
This is a full-time position working day hours.
Job Requirements- Previous experience doing Maintenance preferably in healthcare
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a professional, courteous approach
- Knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Perform inspections of facility systems and report any issues
- Help maintain facility grounds and upkeep outdoor areas
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work
- Assist in emergency situations such as power outage, or plumbing issues
- Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and staff areas are safe, functional and well maintained
- Assist with repairs and general building upkeep
- Work with the Maintenance Director to prepare rooms for new admissions and discharges
- Help ensure the facility complies with OSHA and other safety standards
