Maintenance Technician - Chapel Place

Assist and work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to perform the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the entire property. This position is responsible for maintenance of the residential apartment homes, public space, outside grounds and equipment.

• Property Appearance/Upkeep:
  Keep the property in a neat, clean, and well-maintained condition. Perform daily exterior and interior inspections of the community to assure. Cross utilization of Ground keeper duties may be required.
• Appliance Maintenance:
  Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor failures to air conditioning and heating units. Repair minor electrical and plumbing problems.
• Make Ready:
  Responsible for bringing units up to market-ready condition in accordance with company standards. Some painting may be required.
• Laundry room:
  Maintain laundry rooms to guidelines of the company.
• Pool Maintenance (if applicable):
  Completion of daily chemical inspections, maintenance and cleaning to meet city codes and company standards.
• Customer Service:
  Ensure that the property meets and exceeds company standards for resident satisfaction and is available for on-call emergencies (e.g., snow removal) per Community Manager's request.
• Perform other duties as needed.

High School or better. Pool certification preferred; HVAC certification preferred, boiler certification if appropriate.

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Frequent standing and walking, as well as occasional sitting. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 110 pounds. Occasional squatting, reaching, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, and balancing.

• Driver must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record with company insurance carrier.
• Driver must have reliable means of transportation.
• Driver must provide proof of personal auto liability insurance when using vehicles for company business.

1 year of residential property maintenance experience.
