BUILDING SERVICES - CUSTODIAL WORKER

SALARY RANGE - $33,421.00 / $44,183.00

BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Job Functions:

* Custodial duties include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.

* Disposal of trash both inside and outside the building is required throughout the day, demonstrating a commitment to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

* Adhere to a weekly cleaning schedule, ensuring the standards are met.

* Performs minor building repair work, and makes recommendations for needed repairs.

* Collaborate seamlessly across the department, providing assistance wherever needed to ensure the successful fulfillment of the Public Works Departments mission and the efficiency of operations.

* Operates City of Bartlett vehicle on a daily basis, including but not limited to, special events, errands, and off site meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

* General knowledge of OSHA safety standards and health department standards.

* Basic tool and cleaning supply knowledge.

* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

* Ability to multitask and work with limited supervision.

* Capacity to work autonomously and a demonstrated aptitude for following directions.

* Must be physically able to perform active and strenuous work activity both inside and outside which will involve heavy lifting and various weather conditions.

Areas of education, training and experience:

* Must be able to operate a Fork Lift

* Ability to read and understand chemical/cleaning application instructions.

* High school diploma or GED required.

Special Requirements :

* Must be able to drive and hold a valid driver's license that must remain valid as condition of continued employment.

* Must successfully pass a background and driver's license check, and a physical exam including drug screen prior to employment.

* Ability to work nights and weekends is required.
