Sweeping Corp of America is seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Helper. This is a career entry‑level job that will support mechanical technicians by retrieving parts for repair and other duties as assigned.

Location:

Memphis, TN

Pay: $18 – $22 per hour

Schedule:

1st shift

• Process and track parts that have been placed on order
• Prioritize multiple parts pick‑up and deliveries
• Respond to emergency pick‑up and delivery as needed
• Pay close attention to details and observe safety precautions
• Hold a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Use basic computer skills for placing orders
• Identify correct parts based on part number and shelf location
• Assist with inventory control
• Help technicians as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Prior delivery/driving experience
• Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred
• Moderate lifting – no greater than 40 lbs; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping
• No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required
• Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs, and bending as required
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
• May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse
• May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks (CDL related)
