Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

JOB SUMMARY

The Janitor will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well‑maintained.

• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles
• Performing minor repairs
• Keeping buildings free from indoor pests
• Maintaining cleaning equipment
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
• Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours
• Collaborating with contract cleaning services
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs
• Physically agile and dexterous
• Available to work after hours
• Resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Basic mathematical skills

No minimum education requirement. No prior experience or training required.

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
• Prolong standing or in stationary position for 10 hours per day
• Complete repetitive movements
• Bend and/or twist
• Lift, move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Pull and push a cleaning cart up to 20 pounds
• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
• Walking around the facility for long periods of time, average walking of 10 hours per day with 3 breaks of 15 minutes and 1 break of 30 minutes
• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision protection)
