About the RoleIn this vital role, you will support the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a client facility. As a Maintenance Technician III you’ll be a key leader in running a shift and providing guidance to fellow technicians and Automation Engineer support partners.
What You’ll Do- Repair, maintain, and continuously improve functionality of materials handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
- Lead and mentor the work plan for emergency repair of critical assets and training plans for Maintenance Technicians.
- Build and close out work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Cultivate positive working relationships with the client and Operations Maintenance team members.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
- Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or industrial electronics.
- Ability to conduct preventative and procedure‑based maintenance.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
- 3+ years of work order management.
- Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment to run metrics such as OEE/Up Time to prioritize accordingly.
- Physical requirements:
stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent OR 2+ years of equivalent professional experience.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Previous vendor management experience.
- Experience with robotic maintenance.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Certification preferred in one or more of the following: electronic, electrical, mechanical, access control servers, PLCs, process controls, robotics, or mechanical power transmissions.
