Janitorial Supervisor

Position Objective:
This position is responsible for supervising a staff of 10-15 associates and team leaders in performing all cleaning activities while servicing assigned areas in offices, break rooms, bathrooms, and floors in a warehouse facility. Position works rotating weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide immaculate cleaning services throughout the warehouse facility to meet the client’s satisfaction

Oversee and supervise all cleaning by monitoring and inspecting overall activities and processes

Develop and maintain an effective organization through the training, motivation,n and review of all cleaning staff

Train staff in job skills, proper cleaning methods, operation of equipment,nt and other various duties

Make rounds to ensure crew coverage of designated work areas, give specific cleaning instructions/ assignments as needed

Prepare work schedules, conduct performance evaluations, coach/counsel, and recommend other disciplinary actions as needed.

Maintain and update the daily team record (timekeeping/work schedules) and reports on a daily basis.

Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to by all associates.

Resolve problems and discrepancies to amend issues.

Instill and maintain workflow philosophy in all employees, and lead by example.

Respond to specific cleaning requests regarding jobs as needed

Perform Quality Control Checks and walk-throughs before leaving every client's facility. Redirect cleaning as needed.

Participate in cleaning activities, operate the floor scrubber, and the electric pallet. jack Attend and participate in meetings as required.

Qualifications:

High School diploma; some college preferred1-2 years prior cleaning, sales or supervisory experience in industrial setting

Technical knowledge/use of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, standards, and practices

Must have basic computer knowledge

Leadership – Demonstrated ability to lead people and get resultsPlanning
- Ability to perform short and long range planning

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Must be flexible with changing hours and schedules

Physical efforts required by the job includes: walking, standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
