General Labor, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description:
Applicants can be considered for I, II, or SR level Parts Technician depending on verified years of experience and position availability.
Key Responsibilities:- Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair
- Observe all Company safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Mentor and train other shop personnel
- Ensure compliance of safety policies
- Maintain a clean, well-ordered work environment free of trash and hazards
- Retain and ship parts per the Company’s Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures
- Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence, maintaining records and filing
- Maintain JBHT information systems in regards to parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage
- Ensure each unit has required inventory of equipment in order to determine usability and replacement of non-functional equipment
- Conduct Cycle Counts and periodic inventories as required
- Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel to ensure proper quantity ordered and free of damage; stock inbound parts to proper storage location and update information systems

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to a 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic deductive reasoning skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient active listening skills
- Proficient organizational skills
- Proficient time management skills
- Self-motivation
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including: lifting above 50 lbs, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
- Ability to exercise discretion
- Ability to make time-sensitive decisions.

CompensationFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
